The main features I'm looking for are calling and listening to music.
The cost is something like:
$150+ tax = ipod nano
$0+ tax = free upgrade phone with at&t
OR
$100+ tax = 3g iphone
Of course consider the bad review of iphone and etc..
Give me YOUR opinion and I hope it helps me decide.

If you don't plan to use internet/data much on your phone, then the nano + flip phone is the better option, due to the additional cost of the iPhone plan.
When comparing phones, don't forget to factor in the monthly cost, which can often have a bigger impact on the overall cost of the phone than just the purchase price. For example, AT&T requires a $30/month data package to be active on all iPhones, in addition to your normal calling plan. The flip phone (and all non-smart phones) does not have to have a data plan, though if you add one onto this phone, it is 'only' $15/month.
Over the 2-years of the contract, you will pay $720 just for internet access on the iPhone. While on the flip phone, you do not have to have internet at all, though if you do, it costs $360 over the same span.
